Leadership Academy of Arizona was founded by Dr. William Bressler, a lifelong Arizona native, experienced educator, and active member of the community. He is committed to building a school that serves families well and prepares students for long-term success.

Dr. Bressler holds a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree in educational administration and supervision, and a doctorate in educational leadership and management. He also holds Arizona superintendent and principal certifications, along with a PreK–12 Structured English Immersion endorsement.

In addition to his work in education, Dr. Bressler is actively involved in his local community, including his membership at Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene.

Dr. Bressler’s work reflects the vision behind Meet Our Founder—a commitment to academic excellence, strong character, and a meaningful partnership with families. Throughout his career, he has led academic turnaround efforts, improved graduation and proficiency outcomes, and strengthened student attendance and retention. He has also helped develop high-performing charter school systems grounded in strong operations, accountability, and long-term sustainability.

He founded Leadership Academy of Arizona with the belief that strong schools are built on academic excellence, character, and a meaningful partnership with families.
